Welcome to my first adventure into a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC).
Two thousand of us brave souls are literally learning about learning in Connectivism and Connective Knowledge
A relatively new and evolving theory of learning, connectivism is: “the thesis that knowledge is distributed across a network of connections, and therefore that learning consists of the ability to construct and traverse those networks.”
We are just entering week three (hence the 3 in the blog post title . . . the safety of the dock ruled over the unfamiliar waters of the blogosphere). I can honestly say that I am hooked! (the jump into the water metaphor must necessarily die here).
A very interesting and increasingly engaged online course community is evolving . . . stay tuned for more.
